Este renascimento social é marcado por uma sede de cultura. Depois de uma hibernação social e cultural generalizada, surge um tempo de êxtase pela re-construção pessoal e por ver e conhecer novas formas de olhar o nosso mundo. Neste sentido, a exposição João Pedro Filipe, com o apoio de The Loop Co, tem em vista dar a conhecer o trabalho de um dos vencedores do Prémio Arte Jovem Fundação Millennium BCP 2021.

O artista encontrou na fotografia a base estrutural da sua expressão e tem um interesse particular por pensar e explorar esse meio. Da sua vontade de interpelar o mundo, surge a necessidade de dar corpo a questões e pensamentos cuja discussão é evitada ou esquecida. Ciente da efemeridade do seu trabalho, a sua intenção não passa por apresentar soluções, mas levantar a discussão e galvanizar um pensamento, a fim de tocar alguém mais capaz, que possa - ainda que por um breve instante - aproximar-nos de um mundo melhor.
This social rebirth is characterised by a thirst for culture. After a generalised social and cultural hibernation, there is a time of ecstasy for personal re-construction and for seeing and getting to know new ways of looking at our world. With this in mind, the João Pedro Filipe exhibition, with the support of The Loop Co, aims to publicise the work of one of the winners of the Young Art Prize Millennium BCP Foundation 2021.

The artist has found in photography the structural basis of his expression and has a particular interest in thinking and exploring this medium. From his desire to question the world comes the need to give shape to questions and thoughts that are avoided or forgotten. Aware of the ephemeral nature of his work, his intention is not to present solutions, but to raise discussion and galvanise thought in order to touch someone more capable, who can - even for a brief moment - bring us closer to a better world.
